The Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is seen building a 23-meter-long embankment on east side of Sebira Island, RT 04/03, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands.

It will also further strengthen the existing embankment, including protect local residents here

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said, the embankment was being made to protect land areas from the threat of tidal waves and abrasion.

"It will also further strengthen the existing embankment, including protect local residents here," he expressed, Saturday (12/25).

He explained, it has been ongoing since December 20. It was carried out manually using massive cubes arranged about two meters high with two meters wide.

"We also paint the surface and walls of the embankment to make it look attractive. It is targeted to be completed this December," he stated.
